The 2020 Nissan GT-R is offered in a Premium, Track Edition and a NISMO version. The Premium version is powered by a 3.8L twin-turbocharged V6, which makes 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The Track Edition and NISMO use the same V6, though it is tuned to produce 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque. In all models, power is put to all four wheels with a performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system while a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission handles the shifting. When desired, full sequential manual shifting can be controlled by the steering wheel mounted shift paddles.
With the GT-R's 545 horsepower, the dash to 60 mph takes just under three seconds, and top speed is a claimed 200 mph. Brakes are strong enough for secure stops from triple-digit speeds, and handling is enhanced by the variable-power-split all-wheel drive system. The ride is stiff, owing to this car's prioritization of performance above all else. The NISMO features an even more track-oriented suspension set up, which complements the car's additional aerodynamic aids, including a unique rear spoiler.
Inside, the GT-R feels snug, with a strong cockpit design. The driver sits low in rather narrow, well-bolstered sport seats, with a wide center console alongside. Steering wheel paddle shifters can command quick shifts, while center-stack controls are canted slightly toward the driver.
The GT-R Premium has a very extensive list of features including 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels, power-heated front seats, leather-suede-trimmed seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, full power accessories, an Intelligent Key entry and ignition system, LED headlights, LED taillights, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and carbon-fiber and aluminum interior trim. An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, XM NavTraffic, NavWeather and Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity are all included. Also included is a Bose sound system with 11 speakers, two subwoofers, active noise cancelling, Bluetooth streaming audio and XM satellite radio.
The GT-R Track Edition includes everything in the Premium, plus a NISMO tuned suspension, NISMO black 20-inch wheels, carbon-fiber rear spoiler and black and red Recaro leather front seats.
The limited availability GT-R NISMO adds to the Track Edition with the NISMO tuned 600 horsepower engine, NISMO tuned suspension, a NISMO aerodynamic body design, carbon-fiber front and rear fascia, carbon fiber rear spoiler, NISMO Recaro seats with suede inserts, wider NISMO super-black wheels, NISMO Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and NISMO black/red interior treatment.
There are few major options on the GT-R. A Cold Weather Package adds Dunlop run-flat tires and a special coolant mix. A Premium Interior Package adds hand-stitched Semi-Aniline leather front seats and interior treatment.
Safety features of the GT-R include dual front airbags with occupation sensor, side-impact airbags, roof mounted curtain bags, stability and traction control, front and rear sonar system. Additionally, the body is constructed with front and rear crumple zones, as well as an energy-absorbing steering column.

For 2020, The GT-R refreshes its lineup with the addition of the 50th Anniversary Edition appearance package and the retiring of the Pure Model. The Track Edition now inherits the more powerful NISMO engine option along with upgraded race car turbos.
The 2020 Nissan GT-R is a true exotic supercar -- it's a legend because of its rarity, exotic powertrain and incredible performance numbers. When compared to the Acura NSX or Porsche 911, the GT-R's price is much more palatable and remains one of the highest-performing production cars available. While the GT-R might not make a practical daily driver, this high-performance coupe is a necessity for collectors, the image-conscious, and those who must have one of the fastest machines around.
